Ms. Lynn Matthews, Media Director

I moved to St. George from Phoenix, AZ and am incredibly excited to be the Media Director at Desert Hills High School (Go THUNDER!). While in Phoenix, I taught English, US History, and Government in the Glendale Union High School District. Additionally, I was the Media Coordinator at Willow Canyon High School in the Dysart Unified School District for 5 years. This year will be my 15th year as a teacher.

I am crazy about technology and love to instruct and keep current on the latest trends in educational technology. I have a Masters Degree (M.Ed.) in Instructional Technology from Arizona State University.

I am married to the greatest man in the world and have a daughter who is in third grade and keeps me incredibly busy!

Robyn Lefler, Media Aide

I grew up in St. George where I graduated from Pine View and then Dixie College.  After marrying my husband, we moved to Pocatello for a few years and went to school at Idaho State University.  I graduated from ISU with a bachelor’s degree in English.  Going to school was tons of fun, since I love literature and reading.  I also love living in St. George and feel very lucky to be back.  I enjoy spending time with my husband and two little boys any chance I can get and together we love hiking, making jewelry, and getting ice cream together.

Amber Bell, Media Aide

I was born in California, but grew up in Boise, Idaho. I moved to Saint George from the Salt Lake area in the summer of 2010.  I love the snow, but have grown to love the desert with its red rocks. I love to bake, read cookbooks and look up great new recipes on Pinterest in my spare time. I love to read all kinds of books, but my favorite books are mysteries; I love the books of Agatha Christie. I love to talk about the books I have read, please come and talk to me if you need a suggestion.

I have three children. My eldest daughter, Emily, is a senior at Desert Hills, my son, Michael is a freshman at Desert Hills Middle, and my youngest, Sophia is in 5th grade at Little Valley Elementary.

My husband works at SkyWest, and for the last twenty years, my family and I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the United States. I am excited to be part of the Thunder Family here. Go Thunder!

Ms. Dani Whatcott, Computer Lab Aide

I’m Dani Whatcott, born and raised in St. George.  I love the warm weather and the fun things to do outside here.  I also love sports, reading, and anything with arts and crafts.  In high school, I was part of the drill team and service club.  After attending Dixie State for two years, I moved up to Salt Lake City to finish my undergraduate classes.  I graduated with a bachelor’s  degree in psychology from the University of Utah and I will eventually get a master’s degree to become a high school guidance counselor.  I am excited to become part of the Thunder Family.
